Shannon’s Approach

Shannon believes in using an individualized approach to psychotherapy in order to meet client’s where they are at in supporting their unique needs. Shannon is highly skilled in using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). Shannon also enjoys using a psychoanalytic approach to examine how past experiences influence the here-and-now. Shannon is deeply passionate in her use of feminist theory to inform interventions and is particularly interested in women’s issues. Shannon is committed to providing equitable mental health treatment where all are welcome to come as they are.
